About
What Africa Youth Card is
One profile that works everywhere, so a young person fills in their details once and applies to programmes across the continent.
What it does
AYC is where youth programmes are published and applied to. You register once with your phone number, add a few details about yourself, and from then on every application is filled in from that profile — you answer only the questions a particular programme asks.
It is open to young people in all 54 countries of the African Union.
Who publishes programmes here
Programmes come from Africa Youth Card itself and from partner organisations — training providers, employers, NGOs, government agencies and institutions.
A partner cannot publish on their own. Every programme from an outside organisation is reviewed before it appears, and no partner sees a single applicant until a data-sharing agreement is on record.
It is free
Applying costs nothing. AYC never asks a young person for money, and no programme published here may charge an application fee.
How your details are handled
Your profile belongs to you. You can download everything held about you, or have it erased, at any time from your account. What each programme's organiser can see is limited to the people who applied to that programme.
